Will McIntyre joins Erie for the Fall of '09

The Knights are proud to announce that Wilfrid McIntyre has signed with Erie Community College for the fall of 2009. The 6'4, 170 pound McIntyre will compete for both a positional and pitching job with the Kats, who with four World Series appearances, four professional players, and just this past fall, a second-straight Western New York Athletic Conference championship, are among the top Div. III Juco’s in the nation.

McIntyre is looking to bounce back from a shoulder injury that has kept him off the mound for all of the '09 season. However, his bat has helped lead the 19U Knights to two tournament wins and a 20-11 record thus far. Joe Bauth has been the Head Coach of the Erie Kats for 17 years and is "Excited about Will's potential to improve and excel at two spots."
