Knights 15u back on track with doubleheader sweep

The Ottawa Knights 15u resumed their winning ways with a doubleheader sweep of Knapps Station by scores of 11-0 and 14-4.  Their AABC record improved to 10 - 0.  In the first game, Alex Gagne gave up a lead-off double and that was the only hit of the game for Knapps Station.  He pitched a complete game shutout and struck out 11.  In the second game, Andrew Cockburn also pitched a complete game, strucking out six batters.

Russell Shore was on base for all 8 of his plate appearances in the doubleheader.  He had 5 hits, reached twice on errors and was hit by a pitch.  He scored 5 runs in the doubleheader.  Matthew O'Connor had 2 hits in each game of the doubleheader and scored a total of 4 runs.

The Knights continue their AABC league play on June 13 and June 14 with home doubleheaders against Watertown and Ogdensburg.
