Profile and Career Highlights

Jamie returns for his second full season with the Knights a more powerful and faster athlete.

He led the Knights in 2008 in both batting average and on-base percentage and is once again among the team leaders. Jamie has exceptional bat speed and hits the ball well to all fields. Perhaps his strongest asset is on the basepaths where his 60 time has been clocked in the 7-second range.

Defensively he has excellent range in the outfield and an ability to quickly read the ball off the bat. Those attributes help him make difficult plays look easy, and he leads the team this season in outfield assists.

In 2008, batting from the leadoff spot, he led the Knights in three offensive categories: batting average, on-base percentage and runs scored.

Jamie is an honours student (average mark of 80-plus per cent) heading in to his Grade 12 year. A product of the East Nepean Eagles Little League organization before joining the Knights, he played on two District Champion teams and competed as a starter at two Ontario Little League Championships, giving him lots of experience in “big game” situations.
