This is Dillon’s third year as the Knights’ centrefielder.
Dillon is fleet of foot and fearless in the outfield, often stretching out to make highlight-reel plays. He made two spectacular diving catches in one game at the recent Midwest Wood Bat Championships in Indianapolis.
A strong arm allows him to pile up outfield assists, adding to his prowess as an outstanding defensive player.
Dillon has also been one of the Knights’ top batters each season, and with 7.0 60-yard speed, can turn singles to the outfield into doubles. He is a quick, perceptive baserunner, and the Knights’ leading base stealer.
On the mound, he mixes pitches well and has a strong strikeout/innings ratio.
One of his favourite memories is reaching over the outfield fence last season to rob a North Country (N.Y.) hitter of a home run.
Dillon also plays competitive hockey, was the setter on his high school volleyball team which won bronze at the Ontario championships, and a semi-finalist at the city high school badminton championships.
