Profile and Career Highlights

After a strong season on the mound in 2008, Ryan returned this year 10 lbs. heavier thanks to an off-season spent focusing on strength and power. Mainly a pitcher, Ryan also plays outfield and middle infield.

On the mound, Ryan’s success comes from good control. His strong frame and work ethic will allow him t0 throw the ball harder as he continues to grow. He is rounding into form, mixing a good fastball with two solid offspeed pitches that he can throw for strikes in most counts. Mentally tough, he is a battler on the mound, leading the Knights in wins and innings pitched in 2008.

At the plate, Ryan rarely strikes out and hits the ball hard as evidenced by three homers last season. He has good speed.

As a fielder, he reads the ball well off the bat and shows a strong arm.

Prior to joining the Knights, Ryan played on summer competitive teams virtually every year in Kanata. He is also a former competitive hockey player.
