2006 Wrap-up and 2007 Winter Training Camp
On behalf of all the players and parents, I wish to extend a special thank you to all the volunteers who help to make the Knights such a special program. U18The Knights players and parents would like to express their great appreciation to Coach Art Salter and his fine assistant coaches Rick Frobel and Dave Dunn as 2006 was a fabulous year with six of their players heading off to US Colleges. U162006 was the first year that the Knights ran a 16U program and what a job Coach Adam Salter did along with Assistant Coaches Klaus Hoppner and Randy Murdock. Congratulations! Technical Director - Doug FrobelDespite a trying year for the Frobel family, you could not have asked more from our resident Pro, "Doug Frobel". The Knights organization can't help but admire our special resource as no other team in the area can boast that it has a Technical Director of his calibre. Head Pitching Instructor - Larry BelangerCoach Belanger did a great job as our Head Pitching Instructor with special thanks to Dave Dunn as his assistant pitching coach. The enthusiasm and attendance of all of our pitchers (from both the U16 and U18) to his weekly training session speaks for itself. VolunteersJosette Kritsch The Knights just can't thank Josette Kritsch enough as the creator and manager of the Knights' Web site as she did such a tremendous job as webmaster and she was also gracious in helping with other team mangement activities. Ray Soffer As our stats man, you couldn't ask for a better person. Ray did what you would call "a real professional job" along with the help of Kevin Read. Winter Training Camp 2007After an exciting and extremely successful 2006 spring, summer and fall baseball program, it is now time to gear up for next year and we are looking foward to another great season of baseball in 2007. The Knights Baseball Club Executive is finalizing plans for the 2007 Winter Baseball Program. Details will be posted during the week of October 23rd, 2006. The Knights debuted their fall season by winning the Nicolas-Gatineau tournament. With excellent pitching, disciplined hitting and heady baserunning, the Knights outscored the opposition 32-4 in the tournament.
