Mark Stuckless

After 5 standout seasons with the Knights, Mark followed the footsteps of many others and accepted a scholarship at Monroe Community College in Rochester, New York (NJCAA II).

He spent two years at Monroe, helping the team reach the NJCAA World Series in 2007. A member of two regional and district championship teams, Mark was a part of Monroe’s first 40-win season, in 2006.

He earned numerous individual honours, including:

  • First team all-region selection in 2006 and 2007
  • First team all-district selection in 2007
  • Selected to NJCAA DII World Series all-tournament team.
  • Distinguished Academic All-American (2007
  • Colonial Athletic Association Commissioner’s Academic Award (2008)
  • CoSIDA-ESPN the Magazine Academic All-District I second team (2009)

Mark graduated as Monroe’s all-time leader in hits with 142 and ranks second in runs scored with 115. He batted .387 during his junior college career, including .429 with 36 RBIs and 14 stolen bases in 2007.

After two seasons at Monroe, Stuckless accepted a major NCAA Division I Scholarship at Hofstra University in Long Island, N.Y. During the 2008 season he played in 41 games, starting 30 in his first season with the Pride. Stuckless hit .235 with three doubles and 12 RBIs and scored 20 runs.

He opened his Division I career with a 4-for-9 effort in a four-game series at Maryland. Mark also earned the CAA Commissioner’s Academic Award.
